    “Zum Entspannen ein idealer Ort, tolle Insel mit wunderschön restaurierten Häusern, selbst Neubauten passen sich dem Inselbild gut an. Zum Spazieren optimal, das Eis in der Waffel in der bunten Kuh ein Highlight.
    Aber wo es Licht gibt, gibt es leider auch Schatten. Für Familien mit normalen Einkommen fast unerschwinglich. Selbst für Kinder fällt eine Kurtaxe an. Der Blick auf die Preise auf den Getränkekarten der Restaurants oder den Unterkünften lassen einen erstarren. Es ist bekannt, das Inselleben teurer ist, aber das ist schon mehr als happig.
    Will man auf Spiekeroog nur Gäste wie auf Sylt haben? Dann wird man sich wundern, wenn die Zeiten schlechter werden, dass die Gäste nicht mehr kommen können.”
