    “Im Oktober hatten viele Läden und Restaurants schon zu, aber man hat trotzdem alles bekommen. Die Strände in der Nähe sind super schön, breit, lang, leer und sauber. Ein Kite-Strand direkt im Ort, 2 km weiter kann man auch gut baden. An manchen Stellen aber durch starke Strömungen gefährlich. Vejer liegt ganz in der Nähe und ein Besuch lohnt sich! Vom Flughafen Jerez 80 km entfernt, aber innerhalb einer Stunde gut erreichbar. Das Preisniveau ist sensationell. Selbst in den Strandbars zahlt man nur einen Bruchteil von dem, was man in Deutschland oder Holland bezahlen würde. Auch die Supermarkteinkäufe sind günstiger als in Deutschland.”

    “Klein dorpje, langgerekt langs het strand. Restaurants en bars, weinig winkels. Supermarkt in Barbate, 8 km verderop. Strand met stenen en rotsen, klein en smal. Bij de vuurtoren Faro de Trafalgar is er zandstrand maar een beetje vies. Beste strand is bij el Palmar, 12 km verderop.

It is now a national monument. On the other side of the bay is a ruined shepherds cottage now overgrown with fig trees but still a very beautiful landmark. There are only two other buildings visible from the beach. A lovely stone and thatch restaurant and a wooden beach bar. Zahora really is the perfect place to relax and unwind from the stresses of modern life and the house is perfectly situated within walking distance of everything you need.
