“The house is in altea de valle and a short drive from Altea. In Altea de Valle you can find a few restaurants, a supermarket, fresh fruit, greens and meat store, some cafes and small shops. The supermarkt is targeting the Dutch community hence you can find topical Dutch products (sate sauce, butter with herbs, soft white buns, airfryer fries, etc).
Altea is a nice village, especially the old center. The restaurants along the promenade/beach are generally not good, better restaurants can be found up the hill in the old center. Very crowded in the summer. The beach is narrow and no sand, no chairs to rent. Several supermarkets, open all day and some on Sunday. All other shops have siesta in the afternoon and are closed on Sunday. Most restaurants are open for lunch until 15-16.00 and then again after 20.00 (some at 19.30).”
