Property no. 3472115
Holiday home for max. 8 persons
Campos, Majorca, (Heartland of Majorca), Spain
To capture the full beauty of the property at a glance, you would have to approach Villa Ses Comunes from the air. The building stands like a pink flamingo with outstretched wings on the ochre-coloured Mallorcan earth, the blue pool in the centre of the well-kept estate shines as brightly as an African lake. Trees and fields seem to continue in endless rows all the way to the mountains; you could almost miss the fact that other country houses have settled on this wonderful little corner of the island and that tarmac roads lead to beautiful destinations, leaving behind the gentle sound of a motor. You'll feel like you're on the open road, especially when you sit on the terrace by the old well, sheltered from the wind and flanked by 6 large arched glass doors that let plenty of light into the interior. Who could fail to savour the delicacies conjured up on the table by the barbecue hut? While the meat is still cooking, you can throw a few balls in the basketball hoop, work out on the roof terrace or swim a few lengths in the pool - make the most of the space!
Have we whetted your appetite for a look inside?
What colours and furnishings are hidden behind these glass doors? Let's take a look at the living/dining room first: earthy, rustic, cosy. Plenty of space to stretch out, sink into the deep cushions of the sofas by the fireplace and watch a film on a screen that's almost as big as a home cinema. The kitchen is also spacious and down-to-earth; you could feed an army with this gem of a cooker, which completely puts the outdoor barbecue to shame. The two double bedrooms radiate cosiness with their warm colours and solid wood furniture; flowers or waves, which will put you to sleep the quickest? Things are a little trickier in the twin rooms, at least for the adults: Are invigorating colours just the thing to jump out of bed in the morning, or would you rather glide a little more comfortably across the deep blue sea of night? illuminated by the very original sailboat lamp? Sharing two bathrooms is also less complicated when you have both night owls and morning larks in the group, and on holiday it doesn't matter whether you shower before or after your first cup of coffee.
Fancy some Mallorcan specialities? The rural town of Campos not only has a medieval town centre and imposing stone buildings to offer, you can also find wonderful delicacies in the Burguera cheese dairy and the Pasteleria Pomar. With cows and windmills on almost every corner, the pace here is certainly leisurely. To ring in the changes, a trip to Colonia de Sant Jordi is highly recommended. From the harbour, you can take a 30-minute boat trip to Cabrera (literally goat island). Dive into the crystal-clear waters, visit the castle and the national museum and discover the enchanting light of the blue grotto, which is no less breathtaking than the one on Capri. For those who prefer to stay on land, Es Trenc, the longest natural beach on the island (west of Sant Jordi), promises a carefree day of swimming. After all, you have brought a well-filled picnic basket from Campos ... From Palma airport, head south towards the sun. About 5 minutes from the town of Campos you will find the Mediterranean villa Ses Comunes, scattered between trees, fields and scattered country houses. From the roof terrace you have a marvellous view of the mountains and you can even see the small island of Cabrera in the glittering sea. On the way to the coast, Santanyi, Ses Salines and Colonia de Sant Jordi are worth a visit; nature reserves and beautiful sandy beaches such as Es Trenc are almost on your doorstep.
