A relaxing time in an old Cretan house, 45m² with a roof terrace
This detached two-room house is in the midst of the village Milatos that is at least 3000 years old. It is about 1.5km to the rocky beach at Milatos and the Milatos Beach area. The location is quiet, in a pleasant neighbourhood.
The furnishing is simple and without luxury, but provides everything you need. There is a little cooking facility. The property is perfect for an individual or a couple. There are 2 single beds available. A third one can easily be added, however, there is no door between the bedroom and the living room. The accommodation is not really suitable for children under 2 years old.
The 45m² shaded roof terrace affords a wonderful view of the sea. It is the perfect spot for those who would like to relax or do sweet nothing.
Check-in time is normally from 12.00 to 24.00. The fireplace cannot be used, instead a pellet stove can be used for heating especially in winter. The responsible manager is available in Milatos all year, or will inform you of a representative if absent.
Several local Greek tavernas offer excellent dishes. Visit the Makis taverna right opposite the house, you will not regret it. Milatos is a perfect place for long walks. A rental car is recommended to explore the island of Crete. There is car rental in Milatos Beach. Since recently there is a bus connection twice a week from Milatos to Agios Nikolaos (12000 inhabitants, 25km away). The bus runs on Monday and Thursday, departing at 8.30 and returning in the afternoon.
