    “Ruhiges Dorf auf 300 Höhenmetern mit Blick aufs Meer. Man ist mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten in der malerischen Küstenstadt Opatija, deren öffentlicher Betonstrand leider nicht sehr empfehlenswert ist. Schönere Strände gibt es entlang der Küste. Die Bootstouren von Opatija aus sind sehr empfehlens- und preiswert. Eingekauft werden kann in einem mittelgroßen Spar in Opatija oder im 12 Minuten entfernten Lidl. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Supermarkt direkt in Rukavac. Die Straßen sind etwas gewöhnungbedürftig, sollten aber für einen halbwegs erfahrenen Fahrer kein großes Problem darstellen.”
