Holiday apartment with modern amenities in a quiet location, with its own outdoor seating in the garden

The house is situated on the edge of a forest and is very well-maintained – accommodation that exudes well-being the whole year round, relaxing and suitable for allergy sufferers.

The apartment is on the ground floor and has a bedroom with an adjustable double bed (the beds are already made, additional blankets and pillows available on request), a built-in kitchen with a dining corner, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, egg boiler, kettle and toaster. The generous living room has satellite TV, a stereo system and a sofa bed. There is also a portable supplementary bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and WC and towels are provided. In the hallway there is also a desk. Wireless Internet access is included.

There is outdoor seating in the garden for your own exclusive use, as well as an electric grill.

It is possible to use a washing machine and dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board. There is a cleaning service once a week free of charge. Please note that the apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. A longer stay is no problem. There is a breakfast and bread rolls service on request.

Marpingen is idyllically situated in a beautiful hilly landscape in the midst of forests and flats in the Alsbachtal in the northern Saarland, on the edge of the Saar-Hunsrück nature reserve, near Bostalsee. From here you can access waymarked hiking trails directly, such as the premium hiking trail Biberpfad, Marienrundweg, various cycle paths and the connection to Jakobsweg. The paragliding centre is also worth a visit. There are two grocery shops, bakeries and other shops in the locality. At eh weekly market on Tuesdays you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables. There are local general medical services and dentists, as well as a bank. There is a restaurant within walking distance. Several trip destinations such as Luxembourg, Trier or France are within easy access along the A1, about 10 minutes away.

    “Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr großzügig, hell, ausgesprochen sauber und bestens ausgestattet. Unten
    im Hausflur konnten wir unsere Fahrräder unterstellen. Die Ausstattung ist gut durchdacht, wir
    haben nichts vermisst. So gut ausgestattete Küchen haben wir bisher selten vorgefunden. Alle Zimmer
    lassen sich mit elektrischen Rollos abdunkeln. Das Doppelbett ist wunderbar groß und mit sehr
    bequemen Matratzen ausgestattet. Für unser Empfinden war das Wohnzimmer riesig. Auch auf der Couch
    ließ es sich sehr bequem nächtigen. Der Flur mit Arbeitsschreibtisch bietet ausreichend Platz, um
    einfach mal Sachen abwerfen zu können. Besonders aber haben wir die überdachte Terrasse genossen.
    In den spätsommerlichen Temperaturen gab es noch tüchtiges Bienengesumm im Efeu zu genießen. Mir
    als Imkerin gefiel besonders, dass Familie Biehl in einer Ecke ihres großen Gartens sanftmütige
    Bienen hält, die gefahrlos bei ihrem Treiben beobachtet werden können.
    Für nicht motorisierte Flachlandradlerinnen wie uns war die Umgebung eine Herausforderung, aber
    wandernd sind wir auf unsere Kosten gekommen. Die Umgebung bietet sehr schöne kürzere und längere
    Wandertouren.

    Familie Biehl haben wir als ausgesprochen gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit erlebt. Sie standen uns
    jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung und hatten manche praktische Lösung für uns parat. Wir haben
    unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen sehr gern wieder.”

    “Eine hervorragende Ferienwohnung, in der wir uns eine Woche lang wohl fühlten. Positiv: große Räume, viel Platz;
    sehr freundliche und nette Vermieter;
    gute Ausstattung in Küche und Bad. Negativ: die Lage am Berg machte mir den Einsatz meines Fahrrades (kein E-bike oder Mountain-bike) unmöglich.”

    “Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön, sehr gut ausgestattet, alles neu, die Vermieter sind sehr sehr nett und freundlich, es ist ruhig, man ist zu Fuß in 3 Minuten im Wald, aber in 5 Minuten auch im Dorf. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder. 5 Punkte!”
