Fully renovated, light holiday apartment in a holiday village right by Silbersee

The family-run hotel and apartment complex is in the midst of the richly forested Kurhessisches Bergland. It is nestled into the wonderful and diverse nature of a brown coal mining area closed down at the end of the 1960s, in a holiday village at Silbersee.

The Silbersee natural swimming lake of around 8.2 hectares is at 240 metres above sea level, on the northern edge of the Knüll mountains, three minutes from our complex. The water in the lake is monitored regularly and meets the EU quality requirements for swimming. If you are looking for peace and quiet away from stress and noise, then Frielendorf with restricted car traffic is the place for you. The hilly foothills of the Knüll Mountains invite you to go on extensive hikes. Enjoy the high air quality and the mild climate in our state-recognised climatic spa resort. A well-developed cycle path network invites you to go on a range of tours in the region, either more leisurely routes to Schwalmstadt or Homberg/Efze, or you can brave the Knüllköpfchen 633 metres high and enjoy the wonderful all-round view from the top. Silbersee offers a variety of recreational activities. You can enjoy a breathtaking descent with the Silberseebob or enjoy the special atmosphere of the wellness paradise and relax in the pool or the sauna. You benefit from free daily entry (dependent on opening times) to the kids’ indoor play world Frieloland.

The holiday apartment has been completely newly renovated and has a combined living room and bedroom with a double bed and another separate bedroom. The open kitchen is fully-equipped, including a stove and oven, a fridge, coffee machine and dishwasher. The renovated bathroom provides a shower, washbasin, WC and dishwasher. The living room/bedroom has a suite and an LCD TV. The apartment is integrated into a hotel. You can share use of the terrace and other hotel facilities (some are payable).
