Stunning views in Civita, living in an organic olive oil farm

Civita di Bagnoregio is a small Etruscan village located on a hilltop and its surrounding vast canyons is the view you can enjoy the stunning view from our estate, a short drive from Orvieto, in between Rome and Florence. The estate is an active olive oil farm and for the past twenty years, with its own mill has been distributing its award winning olive oil in the best restaurants and hotels all over the world. Three houses have always been part of the property, but were mere ruins and are now completely refurbished and two of them are open to host our guests, the third one will be ready in 2022.

The sensation is to live within nature, surrounded by ancient land, forest and lots of culture. Bagnoregio is, as the name suggests, the place where kings would go for a bath.



The property opens with one villa, that can accommodate six guests with 3 bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, big living and dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen and 2 guests in our one-bedroom suite located in a small house close by, with it's own living area and small kitchen area.

A salt water pool is located a poetic spot, right within the olive grove and is at the exclusive disposal of our guests.

All houses are fully air-conditioned, and equipped.

We have a private chef that can cook for you upon request, you can take private yoga and tai chi lessons, have a massage or do some outdoor training.

As the owners are contemporary art collectors, many artworks are on display in the houses, which with the streamlined decor has the clear intention to leave the main role to nature, which can be contemplated from the big windows of the house and which is stunning from all sides and perspectives.



The vast estate has the benefits of complete privacy and flexibility, has many terraces from where to enjoy the scenery, dine or read outside.

The salt water pool and an innovative barbecue is at our guests disposal.

But you are definitely part of a bigger project, as our estate is all organic with a clear mission to groom and maintain our land, while five full time staff members keep the land to produce the best olives for our olive oil. Even the manure is produced by our own five donkeys.




This is not a house for which you are given the keys and good luck. You are the owner of an estate, you are part of a project to maintain our land that our staff is taking care of while you are staying with us. They are all happy to assist you, should you need assistance, information or a helping hand. Civita di Bagnoregio has become a busy place with lots of visitors. This is the only point in the valley, from where you can reach Civita by foot and enjoy the empty village in the morning or in the evening when all day tourists are gone. But even better yet to visit, is to enjoy the view on it and its surrounding canyons, with its magic light and the vastness of a land that is as ancient as it is beautiful.



Carma R.Elais is a great place if you would like to relax in the property, contemplate nature, read or swim, but it is also the convenient starting point for as man activities as you could wish for. Anything from horseback riding, truffle hunting, visit many cultural sites (Orvieto, Viterbo, Vitorchiano....), sports of all sorts, from sailing on the close by Lake of Bolsena, soccer, basketball, padel and much more, visit wonderful gardens such as the Monster Park from the 16th century in Bomarzo or Villa Lante and explore the many local producers for the best ingredients to cook your dinner. You decide your pace.

A golf course is a short 30 minutes drive away, and Porto Santo Stefano, the chic Tuscan seaside location about an hour drive East.
