Holiday House in Lessach with Garden, Barbecue and Terrace and Beautiful Views

An hour and a half drive from Salzburg, the Villa is a converted farmhouse nestled in the pretty Lessach valley in the Lungau region of Salzburg, Austria.


In summer it is directly on the doorstep of wonderful walks, hikes, cycle paths, mountain biking, golf and many more activities.


In winter it is a short drive to one of the four excellent ski areas covered under the Lungo ski pass, which includes the snow sure resort of Obertauern.



On the first floor: There are four spacious en-suite bedrooms; all rooms have plenty of hanging space and drawers. Three of the rooms can comfortably take an extra single bed, set of bunk beds or a cot. Each room has an English extension lead with 4 sockets and a hair dryer.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed (1.80 m wide) and a set of bunk beds (0.9 m wide), there is space to add an additional child bed or cot.

Bedroom 2 has either two single beds (0.9 m wide) or double bed (1.80 m wide) and there is space to add another single bed.

Bedroom 3 has a double bed (1.80 m wide) and there is space to add an additional, single bed (0.9 m) or cot.

Bedroom 4 has a double bed (1.60 m wide) and there is space to add an additional, single bed (0.9 m) or cot. Each bedroom has a modern en-suite bathroom with a drench shower unit, under floor heating and heated towel rail. Soap, hand and bath towels are provided.

On the ground floor: There is a large homely lounge with comfortable seating to relax in. It has a flat screen TV with computer run media centre with a wide selection of music and films, Wii machine, books and board games. Just off the lounge is a small area with soft drinks, tea and coffee making facilities guest fridge and a table football.

There is a dining room which is available for guests to use as a separate room away from the lounge when meals are not being served.

There is a heated equipment room for storing skis, boards, boots, rucksacks etc. with a heated glove drying compartment, plenty of shelving, coat hooks and a seating area for changing in and out of your boots / walking shoes. Sledges are available and we have storage for bikes and golf clubs. The equipment room leads directly to the garage and our minibus (available for transport for an additional charge).

There is a guest utility room with sink, drying rack, iron and ironing board, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer for which there is a small additional charge.



The Villa is a large detached converted traditional farmhouse, with a garden and parking space on all sides. It is in the centre of the pretty quiet village of Lessach. The garden is south facing and has a grassed area, flower borders, decking area with table and seating, a water feature and a gazebo which provides shade during the heat of the day and is heated for cooler evenings. The garden is surrounded by a hedge and gated so is suitable for children,



The Villa is owner run and provides you with a holiday where you have a home to yourselves along with someone to cook, clean and organise everything for you. The property is run by the owners who provide breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals and are on hand to help and advise, to arrange activities and/ to lead on walks and bike rides. Evening meals with complimentary wine are provided on 5 out 7 nights in the summer season and 6 out of 7 nights in the winter season. Complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks ad fresh fruit are available at all times.


Prices for children are reduced if they share a room with two adults.


All guests staying from May to October, receive a free 'Lungau' card providing free or discounted entry to all the activities and places to visit in the area, plus some of the bars and restaurants.


There is excellent wifi throughout the house and garden and a comprehensive computer run media centre with a wide range of music and films available.


There is plenty of storage space for equipment including, skis, pushchairs, golf bags and bikes (hire of bikes, including e-mountain bikes can be organised for you.)


The Villa is in the centre of the pretty village of Lessach and very easy to drive to, no difficult windy roads, even though it is 1200m above sea level. Parking is available around the property.



Lessach is a working farming village, plenty of grassy fields and cows with bells! All around the house are beautiful views of the Lessach valley and surrounding mountains. It is a very 'open' valley so the mountains are not overpowering. From our doorstep you are at the start of numerous walks, hikes and bike rides and just a few minutes drive away from many other activities. The Villa is in the centre of a quiet village opposite the church and with beautiful views of the surrounding area. In just a couple of minutes you can be relaxing in a beautiful alpine valley or in the centre of a town - the road to the right of our house takes you into the valley and to tranquil nature, the road to the left takes you to the main town of the Lungau area, Tamsweg (7 km away) with it's beautiful market square where you can sit out at one of the many bars and restaurants or wander round the shops.
