The central location of the town allows numerous excursions, for example to the "Bathing Paradise Black Forest" at the legendary Titisee (11 km), to the highest Black Forest mountain the Feldberg (16 km), to the Schluchsee (10 km) or to the wild-romantic Wutachschlucht (15 km). Everything is less than 20 minutes away by car. You can reach Freiburg's old town in 45 minutes by car - or you can go there for free with the Höllentalbahn.
In winter, the village has a small ski area with easy downhill runs and good cross-country skiing opportunities on groomed trails with a total length of 30 km.
In summer, numerous signposted hiking trails invite you to explore the Black Forest. On 5 high-altitude trails around the village you can hike while enjoying the beautiful nature and get really fit on the side.
